Two-component polyurethane foaming system for rapid sealing of lost circulation zones and borehole stabilization. Formerly HPM FOAM A.
MF-Foam A is a two-component liquid foaming system designed to produce a rigid polyurethane foam for sealing and stabilizing drilling formations. It provides a fast and effective solution for lost circulation and borehole stability where conventional lost circulation materials may be ineffective.
MF-Foam A is primarily used for pre-collar sealing as an alternative to cement. It is also suitable for sealing cavities, thief zones and other problematic formations where a fast-setting, rigid foam is required.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Appearance | Colorless to yellowish liquid |
| Odor | Mild |
| Specific Gravity | 1.1 |
Mix MF-Foam A with its companion component (MF-Foam B) at a 1:1 ratio by volume.
Stir the mixture for 20–40 seconds until it develops a cream color, then immediately pour it into the pre-collar annulus or thief zone.
The rigid polyurethane foam will expand and cure in approximately 4 minutes.
